Fun events are always happening in fifth
grade! Last week the fifth graders in Mrs. Hord’s reading class met with their
first grade buddies in Mrs. Painter’s class. The first graders were writing
how-to pieces focusing on structure, conventions, and transitions. It was
definitely an experience to remember because we enjoyed helping them revise and
edit, while they got help with writing. My favorite part was that our buddies
had a glimpse of what we learn in fifth grade while they were in our classroom.
I always enjoy working with our first grade buddies. Overall, it was a
spectacular experience.
