Mrs. Horowitz' Class Built Structures to Withstand an Earthquake!

In Mrs. Horowitz’s class, we made structures we wanted to stay up in an earthquake from spaghetti sticks and marshmallows. We learned about earthquakes and how they can destroy structures. We found out the stronger the base and the sturdier the structure, the longer it lasted in the earthquake. Not all groups succeeded, but we learned it’s ok to make mistakes, because that’s how scientists learn.
