Ms. Wilson's Scientists!

We started learning about heat by exploring the pictures and figuring out how they go together! We sorted the pictures by seeing how things change when you add heat to them. The popsicle melted when heat was added. The pancake batter turned into pancakes when cooked on the stove.

Heat can change things. –Sophia

Heat can change crayons by putting the crayons in the oven. –Travis

When you heat something, it starts to change. –Brynn

We used friction to try to melt the chocolate chips.

Things can melt because of heat. –Rush

The apples changed to applesauce because of heat. –Andrew

We used 3 different temperatures of water to see how the molecules moved in each. (red-room temperature, blue-ice cold, green-hot)

When something is hot, the molecules move fast! –William
